Restoring the Arts was founded by our Lead Pastor, Joe Miller,  and exists to engage in the betterment of the Orting community, striving to develop our youth, strengthen our families, and enrich our elderly through education, training, and mentoring in the Arts.

RTA Vision

Our vision is to provide a state of the art facility in the city of Orting for children and adults creating an environment for all ages to enjoy and prosper through the arts, and education. Our desire is to foster a community culture in which every child is valued and family supported. We want to ensure a family-like atmosphere is promoted by bridging the gap between children and adults and by connecting people with positive role models.

 Why RTA?

According to researchers and authors, Americans are truly some of the loneliest people in the world.   Deep down people want community, but they do not know how to get it.  Unfortunately most of our traditional institutions have not offered a viable solution to help people connect and built strong communities.  We need the arts!

D.L. Moody once said, “If God is your partner, you better have large plans!” Well, God is my partner and I DO have large plans, but the need is great.  I am convinced the Father is preparing the city of Orting for a wonderful work that will have a tremendous impact in His Kingdom and Restoring the Arts is one way that this work will be fulfilled.  Helping strengthen the community is the call from God upon all of us and I want you to consider taking on a key role in the implementation of building biblical community by partnering with Restoring the Arts.

Restoring the Arts exists to help the saints accomplish God’s work by giving them a way to lovingly connect with lost and hurting people who would otherwise not come into a church building.  Calling people to a paradigm of love, helping them to be about God’s work, and empowering them through the arts, is the model implemented by Restoring the Arts.

Restoring the Arts is working to build healthy biblical community. First, through the dedicated application of Scripture we will use the culturally relevant medium of the arts to demonstrate God’s love to our neighbor.  Second, we will build community by working hand-in-hand together with all members in the Body. According to 1 Corinthians 12, God gives each gifts and talents–not to be used in a vacuum or as a means to an end–rather, to pool these gifts and talents together to achieve Kingdom purposes-service. When the gifts and talents of each believer are recognized and mobilized to work in concert with the giftings of others–that is when unity is created in His Church. When internal Biblical community is functioning well, it goes beyond Church, communities are truly transformed and God's Kingdom is expanded.

Restoring the Arts offers the unique opportunity to reach those in need of hope and bring to them the love of Jesus Christ. We each possess different tools that can support this vision. Together we can work to further empower the Body of Christ.  By connecting with us through RTA, you will help generate incredible long-term returns in the lives of untold number of people who are in search of meaning and purpose. We don't want to build a "church" building, but a community center that will house training, teaching and entertainment venues for every generation, promote the arts and develop the community.
