Currently we are teaching our kids using curriculum from David C. Cook’s Noah’s Park Children’s Church. Each child is assigned to a group based on their age/ grade. These groups are color coordinated, as are the stations. They will rotate through the stations in their age/ grade groups. They will begin the morning at the table assigned their group color (for example the Elementary kids are the Yellow group, so they will start at the yellow table). Here they will participate in a pre-activity, often a coloring page. This is also where you will pick your children up at the end of the service. For check out, you will need to give the table leader your pick up slip and initial the check in form next to your child’s name.
About 10 minutes after the service start time, the children will gather together as a large group for an introduction to the day’s lesson and a Bible story. The topic introduced here will be reinforced throughout the day’s activities. After the story, the children will divide back into their groups for a short Share and Prayer time. This will give them an opportunity to apply the lesson learned to their own life and pray as a group. The children will then begin rotating through the different stations. These stations are Snacktime Theater, Games, and Craft. At Snacktime Theater, children will eat a snack while watching a short puppet presentation. After the puppet presentation, they will review their Bible Memory Verse. At the Game station, they will play a game that relates to lesson. The bathroom break will be at the end of the game station. Finally, at the Craft station, children will make a craft to take home to remind them of the lesson. The game and craft stations have separate activities for preschoolers and elementary children. Children will also bring home a HomeLink. This is an activity for the children to do at home to let you know what they learned and to remind them of the lesson throughout the week. I invite you to set aside time each week to go over the HomeLink. Designate a place to hang up the craft as a reminder to your child of the lesson they learned. |
Growth Groups are here at Reunion! If you are looking for a midweek opportunity to connect, then this is your opportunity. The current fall groups will be ending in early December, but the new groups will begin in January. Please keep an eye on our calendar, or better yet, subscribe for email updates when new Growth Groups are scheduled. |

It does not spoil your happiness to confess your sin. The unhappiness is in not making the confession. — C. H. Spurgeon
